Ville créée en même temps que le canal de Suez en 1859, Port-Saïd a longtemps été le symbole de la modernité en Egypte et la fenêtre d’un cosmopolitisme parfois fanstamé.
Le film « Port Said » part à la recherche des traces de ce passé dans un pays en mutation. Nous découvrons l’originalité d’un patrimoine architectural oublié et rencontrons les habitants de Port-Saïd qui parlent de leurs expériences, l’histoire récente et les changements qui ont eu lieu dans la ville. Avec leurs mots, ils peignent le portrait de leur ville, porte d’entrée de la Méditerranée à l’Est.
